Brett Ponton
Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Heartland as President and CEO in September 2009, Mr. Ponton was a 17-year veteran of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. During his tenure with Goodyear and its affiliates, Mr. Ponton led the 800-store Goodyear retail division and was at one time responsible for all marketing functions for Goodyear’s multi-billion dollar tire business in North America. Most recently Brett served as the Vice President and General Manager for the Asia Pacific Region of Veyance Technologies, a spinoff from Goodyear based in Melbourne, Australia, where Brett had responsibility for running all Asian operations for this global company.

Mr. Ponton brings extraordinary expertise in sales, marketing and strategic direction, along with a passion for customers – both in terms of understanding them and providing excellent service to them. Mr. Ponton is a native Nebraskan and a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
